What are the differences between Italian plasters and faux finishes?
Italian plasters also known as Venetian plasters or decorative stuccos are real plasters imported from Italy. They not only enhance but strengthen the walls. Faux finishes are representatives of the real thing and will bring beauty to your home for years to come. Due to the authenticity of the Italian plasters they are priced higher than our faux finishes, but don't let that scare you off. We have excellent options for the cost conscious and can work within your budget.

Will I see a sample board before you begin the project?
After we receive a signed contract we will create up to two sample boards per room. If extra sample boards are needed then a fee of $35 per board will be charged. A sample board will be created to match the client's color needs and the desired finish so the client can be certain of their selection. Two boards per room are included in the price and remain property of Whiteley Design Studio.

Can a textured finish be removed easily?
Textured finishes are need easily removed. If you want a textured finish you need to be absolutely sure you can live with it for a long time. A lot of elbow grease goes into removing a textured finish. Many of our other finishes can be applied to look like a texture.
